Durant came into the night three straight games of 5+ turnovers, responding in a big way with a triple double of 27 points, 16 assists and 10 rebounds. He also had two steals and a block.

This was Durant’s first triple double with the Suns and 18th in his career. Phoenix desperately needed a night like tonight, as they entered the game having lost three straight and nine of their last 12.

Durant last had a triple double on Nov. 9, 2022 with the Brooklyn Nets against the New York Knicks. He set his career high with 16 assists on Apr. 10, 2022 with the Nets against the Indiana Pacers.

Tonight’s huge performance came just a couple days after a report of Durant feeling “frustrated” with the state of the Suns, leading some to believe he was mentally checked out. Durant even responded to a comment about this on Instagram.

Now, the 35-year-old Durant reminded everyone just what he was capable of doing on the basketball court.

The Suns and Durant now head home with momentum, as they begin a six-game homestand Friday vs. the Charlotte Hornets.
