Cordova is a three-star from Salpointe Catholic in Tucson. He is the #51 ranked prospect in the state and is the first offensive tackle to commit to Arizona State this year.
Cordova is a 6-4 270-pound tackle who gives the Sun Devils a lot of length, which Head Coach Kenny Dillingham has been seeking in this recruiting cycle. Cordova only received an offer from the University of Arizona but chose to be a Sun Devil instead.
Dillingham spoke in his press conference that Offensive Tackle was the main position he wanted to fill. I still assume that more is coming from the tackle position, but Cordova helps fill a hole. Cordova will join fellow offensive lineman Champ Westbrooks, Filiva’a Saluni, Terrell Kim, and Semisi Tonga. The O-line was attacked very hard this year. It will be attacked more next year due to all the injuries in that position.
