Tonga announced this decision the same day he announced that he was decommitting from Oklahoma State.
Tonga is a huge piece for Arizona State Head Coach Kenny Dillingham. Dillingham has made it known he is targeting Offensive Linemen heavily after the injuries he dealt with this year.
The 2024 O-Lineman is a top 100 guard in the class and is top 10 in Utah. ASU adds Semisi Tonga to a 2024 class that has already brought Champ Westbrooks and Filiva’a Saluni to help with their offensive line.
Tonga is a 6-4 310-pound guard with offers from Oklahoma State, Colorado, Arizona, Nebraska, Oregon, and more. He was heavily recruited out of high school but only visited ASU and Oklahoma State. He decided to commit to Oklahoma State in October, but eventually, Kenny Dillingham convinced him that ASU was the better fit.
This was added on to a weekend that saw ASU add eight transfers in two days. So, safe to say it was a record-breaking weekend for Dillingham and co.
