Suns fans cheered louder for Johnson and Mikal Bridges than they did for their own team the entire night in their return to Phoenix.

The two former Suns helped spoil the debut of the Suns’ Big 3. Johnson had 15 points, five rebounds and four assists in the game.

Johnson was very grateful for the tribute video the Suns made for him and all of the love that the fans showed him.

“It feels great,” Johnson said. “This building kind of welcomed me with open arms a long time ago, and welcomed me with open arms tonight. It’s pretty when you have the opportunity to come back to a place where the people still support you and still care about you. I think that goes a long way to kind of the impact that we were able to make in the community in our time here and the love from the fans. I mean, Phoenix definitely has some really good fans and so they ought to be appreciated.”
