Texas Defensive Lineman Mason Fleming Decommits From Arizona State

Mason Fleming, a three-star defensive lineman out of Texas, announced on X today that he would be decommitting from Arizona State.

Fleming was the top defensive line recruit for the Sun Devils in 2024. He had 51 tackles and five sacks in his senior season at Manvel High School. He was highly recruited by the Sun Devils and officially committed in June.

Arizona State was the only Power 5 school to offer Fleming in his original recruitment. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets bigger offers after his massive season. ASU still has two unrated defensive linemen committed in the class of 2024. Those are local high schoolers, James Giggey and Ramar Williams.

It’s a big loss for Dillingham’s program, especially after hiring a new defensive line coach. Fleming is the second recruit this week to decommit. Sire Gaines, a three-star athlete from California, announced his decommitment earlier this week.
