The 6-foot-4, 245-pound Giggey, who plays defensive end and linebacker, is ASU’s second in-state commit, joining Desert Mountain athlete Dylan Tapley.Â
According to MaxPreps, Giggey recorded 133 tackles, three sacks, two interceptions, three blocked punts and one blocked field goal in 12 games last season, which led to him being named his conference’s Defensive Player of the Year. His team went 8-4 in the 4A conference and fell in the quarterfinals.

Despite having no reported major offers before ASU, Giggey impressed at the Sun Devil’s big man camp last week, which led to an offer and subsequent unofficial visit and commitment.
Arizona State now already has nine class of 2024 commitments with Giggey, and he is the second defensive linemen pledge, joining Mason Fleming (Texas) who committed to ASU on Saturday.Â
