Who Is Kyler Murray Throwing The Ball To?

On Sunday Kyler Murray is making his return as the quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals. They are going against the (4-5) Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons are tenth against the pass in the NFL only giving up 1,774 passing yards so far this year. A big part of that is their pass rush but they also have a good secondary. Who are the pass catchers that Murray will be throwing to?

Marquise “Hollywood” Brown

The Cardinals made a trade last season to acquire Marquise Brown from the Baltimore Ravens. Brown was brought in to be the deep threat opposite of DeAndre Hopkins. Last season Brown and Murray started to build a connection. Brown caught 67 passes for 709 yards and three touchdowns. This season Brown has still been productive even without an elite passer throwing him the ball. So far this year Brown has 42 receptions for 440 yards and that’s as the number one option.

Michael Wilson

Michael Wilson was a third round pick in the 2023 NFL draft for the Cardinals. The former Stanford Cardinal has had a good rookie season. Wilson has caught 25 passes for 401 yards so far this season. The breakout game for Wilson was against the San Francisco 49ers. He had seven receptions for 76 yards and two touchdowns. Wilson may really take off with Murray at quarterback.

Trey McBride

A quarterback’s best friend is a consistent tight end. Trey McBride is turning into one of those quality pass catchers from the tight end position. The breakout game for him was against the Baltimore Ravens. McBride had 10 receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown. McBride is a big time fantasy sleeper for the rest of the season.

Kyler Murray doesn’t have an elite number one option to throw to but the options he does have should thrive with him at quarterback.
