Hovland outpaced his rivals, concluding the tournament at 27-under par, a lead of five strokes over Xander Schauffele in second.

After an impressive BMW Championship win, Hovland entered the TOUR Championship ranked No. 2, only behind Scottie Scheffler at No. 1.

After four-straight first place finishes from Thursday to Sunday, Hovland hoisted the FedExCup over his head for the first time in his career. Only the fourth man ever to win the final two championships of the FedExCup Playoffs, the Norwegian did so in astounding style. He finished Sunday with his best round of the TOUR Championship, shooting a 63.

In addition to securing the championship, Hovland took home a purse worth $21.6 million from his two playoff wins – $18 million coming from this week’s FedExCup win.

Hovland has become a fan favorite after showcasing his skills at the championship, but The Valley couldn’t help but hold their fingers crossed for Arizona State’s Jon Rahm to pull through with a win.

Regrettably, Rahm ended Sunday’s round in a tie with Corey Conners, both recording the highest score of the day with a 74. Rahm finished 4-over par for the fourth round and 7-under at the conclusion of the TOUR Championship.
