Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Mookie Betts, Seattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh and Chicago Cubs third baseman Alex Bregman are set to participate in the friendly competition – one that blends professional golfers with high-profile athletes and celebrities to spotlight a growing tradition that has helped elevate “The People’s Open” beyond a typical golf tournament.

The Annexus Pro-Am has become one of the WM Phoenix Open’s most anticipated events, as the infusion of MLB talent taps into cross-fan engagement. With top-ranked golfers and major champions already featured in tournament play, the Pro-Am offers a more relaxed competitive setting for participants who aren’t typically part of the golf scene.
The Pro-Am underscores the WM Phoenix Open’s dual identity as both a national sporting event and a showcase for the Valley. Fans flock from across the country — and beyond — to support this stop on the PGA TOUR. The participation of Betts, Raleigh and Bregman only brings more eyes to the event and may entice new fans to check out the action in this unique crossover.

And they won’t be the only professional sports stars in the field at the WM Phoenix Open.
Arizona Diamondbacks mainstay Merrill Kelly is also set to compete, along with Arizona Cardinals legend Larry Fitzgerald. Current Cardinals stars Trey McBride and Budda Baker are confirmed to compete. Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps will participate, and three-time Super Bowl champion and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is also slated to join.
