The Arizona Diamondbacks may have hit a new season low as they were shutout by the San Francisco Giants in the series finale on Thursday.

While the D-backs did outhit the Giants 6-2, all six hits were singles, and two were wiped out by a double play. Meanwhile, the Giants just needed one solo home run from LaMonte Wade Jr. in the fourth inning to hand them a win.

And this is a shame, considering the Diamondbacks offense wasted rookie Brandon Pfaadt’s best start of the season.

Despite only allowing one earned run in seven innings, Pfaadt is now 0-5 this year.

The Diamondbacks were not even able to get a runner into scoring position until the ninth inning. The game would end with Arizona stranding runners on the corners.

There are not too many words to describe the ongoing struggles that the D-backs cannot seem to fix. With the loss, they are now 9-22 over their past 31 games.

Next up for Arizona is a three-game series against the Twins. First pitch is set for Friday at 5:10 PM, Merrill Kelly is scheduled to take the mound.
