Diamondbacks reliever Drey Jameson has decided against Tommy John surgery and will instead focus on a conservative rehab program.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! While this is a risky move, if the rehab goes well, Jameson could be back on the mound for the finals stretch of the D-backs season.
On the flip side, if the rehab is not successful, the 25-year-old may be forced to miss the entire 2024 season, as Tommy John surgery is typically a 12- to 15-month setback.
Before heading to the IL in early July, Jameson was one of the more reliable arms in the Diamondbacks bullpen. Through 40 innings, Drey posted a 3.32 ERA and struck out 37 batters.
Arizona is already feeling the impact of Jameson’s injury. As a team, the Diamondbacks have a 6.39 ERA since July 6th. This has led to a 5-11 record in this timeframe.
Stay tuned for further updates.
