The Arizona Diamondbacks are down yet another arm as rookie Drey Jameson has suffered a torn UCL and may be out for the rest of the season.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Jameson was placed on the 60-day IL at the beginning of July, following a three-inning outing against the Mets.
This loss will prove to have a major impact, as the Diamondbacks former 1st round draft pick has stood out in a bullpen that has disappointed.
Altogether in 2023, Jameson has posted a 3.32 ERA and 37 strikeouts in 40 innings of work.Â
But now, the 25-year-old is forced to make quite a difficult decision early on in his career.
If Jameson does decide to go down the Tommy John route, he will likely not step on a mound during a game until around next Fall.
On the other hand, if Jameson decides to rest the elbow for an extended period of time, he may be back for the playoffs. Or he could be looking at an even longer time off the diamond, as resting alone does not always work.
Stay tuned for further updates.
