He had his biggest season last season, when he recorded 28 total tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack, six pass deflections and a forced fumble.
“My biggest jump (last season) was believing in myself, believing that I could contribute on the field,” Woods said. “And just waiting for my opportunity and when I got my opportunity, just taking advantage of it so that no one can take my spot.”

He is one of several experienced corners that ASU has, including Jordan Clark, Ro Torrence and Austin Peay transfer Demetrius Ford, that will be competing for playing time.
He is excited for what this year’s corners will unlock for the entire defense.
“When you have lockdown corners, that basically opens opportunities for our linebackers, our defensive line to get sacks,” Ford said.
This offseason, the focal point for Woods has been gaining weight and staying healthy. He said he gained about five to 10 pounds and is still working on gaining more.
He is fully recovered from a shoulder injury sustained earlier this offseason and said he is ready to go.
