After enrolling at Arizona State early, freshman EDGE Ashley Williams, who hails from Zachary, Louisiana, has already been getting praise for his play in the spring and summer from his teammates.

The 6-foot-5, 250-pound defensive lineman was ranked by 247 Sports composite metric as the No. 446 overall prospect in the nation, No. 47 edge defender and No. 19 prospect in Louisiana.

The Sun Devils have a lot of veteran players, like B.J. Green, on their team that have taken Williams under their wing.
“I’m just blessed that I have people alongside me like that,” Williams said, “Just showing me what want to do (and) what’s wrong and what’s right.”
Some have shown Williams praise already.
“It means a lot,” Williams said of the praise. “I ain’t gonna lie. Just seeing those guys playing on TV and stuff, it means a lot to me, and I appreciate it.”

So what should Sun Devil fans know about what Williams brings to the table?
“I bring a lot of speed and also bring a lot of power as well, so I hope they can see that on the field,” Williams said.
