Floyd becomes the second class of 2024 commitment of the day to Arizona State after EDGE Albert Smith III (LA) pledged to the Sun Devils this morning. Both were recruited by Charlie Ragle, the team’s special teams coordinator and edge coach.

The 6-foot, 165-pound punter averaged a staggering 50.2 yards per punt last season on 43 punts with 14 landing inside the 20 and a long of 80 yards, according to MaxPreps. He went 37-of-39 on PATs and was 5-of-7 on field goals (long of 39).

Floyd finished as MaxPrep’s No. 3 punter in the country in his class and No. 9 by Kohl’s kicking. Click here to see his Hudl highlights.

He received a full scholarship offer from Arizona State just a few weeks ago. He visited this weekend and made his commitment shortly after as it is rare for a special teamer to get full offers.

Kenny Dillingham showed love to Ragle after his big recruiting day today.

Floyd will have a great opportunity to be a contributor to Arizona State’s special teams unit as soon as he arrives in Tempe.
