“The People’s Open” is currently the 32-year-old’s best chance of achieving his second pro win since the 2024 Texas Children’s Houston Open, where he tied for 2nd. Detry is tied for the best odds to win the Phoenix Open, +400, with two-time winner of the event Scottie Scheffler.

Spectators pack the hillside to watch Scottie Scheffler at the 9th hole during Round 2 of the WM Phoenix Open on Feb. 7, 2025.

Scheffler is T-8 at -7 and had a much more productive day compared to yesterday, shooting five shots under par. While yesterday’s leader, Wyndham Clark, struggled mightily, shooting +2 on Friday and finishing Round 2 T-21.

Heading into the weekend, Detry tries to keep his distance from the field, but the #1 ranked golfer in the world is starting to heat. It will be a must-see finish at TPC Scottsdale Courses.
