Warmup insights

  • ASU is wearing its brand new gold jersey that sports a retro look, and white helmets with the Sparky logo on both of its sides. Click here to view the uniform.
  • Mississippi State’s receivers are looking quick and made a couple of impressive catches. Five of Mississippi State’s six offensive touchdowns vs. Eastern Kentucky took five plays or less, with an average time of 1:38 per scoring drive. Just two scoring drives exceeded two minutes, so ASU will have to be on high alert defensively.
  • Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt warmed up and looks to be ready for his second start with the Sun Devils. He completed 14-of-22 passes for 258 yards and two touchdowns against Wyoming.
  • Sun Devil head coach Kenny Dillingham wanted the student section to fill out and it is jam-packed. ASU had 13,698 students attend the game against Wyoming last week. Here is an article on Dillingham’s call to action towards the students during the week, in hopes of breaking the all-time record.
  • Jordyn Tyson had a few impressive catches in warmups.
  • Mississippi State quarterback Blake Shapen is locked in, completing multiple passes.
