For the fourth straight season, the Phoenix Suns are reportedly going to play on Christmas Day.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!According to The Athletic NBA insider Shams Charania, he posted on X (formerly Twitter) about the five games that will land on Christmas this year and the Suns are scheduled to take on the Denver Nuggets.
“NBA Christmas Day games for the 2024-25 seasons, per sources: [San Antonio] Spurs at [New York] Knicks, [Minnesota] Timberwolves at [Dallas] Mavericks, [Philadelphia] 76ers at [Boston] Celtics, [Los Angeles] Lakers at [Golden State] Warriors, Nuggets at Suns,” Charania said.

If the report is true, this will mark the second Christmas in three seasons that Phoenix and Denver clash. On Dec. 25, 2022, Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokić scored a game-high 41 points and Aaron Gordon came up with a pivotal five points in overtime to win 128-125 in Colorado.
The Suns also lost to the Warriors 116-107 in 2021 and 128-114 to the Mavericks this past Christmas. All three of Golden State, Denver and Dallas made it to the finals each season when they had a Christmas Day matchup against the Suns.
At the time of reporting, the 2024-25 schedule for the Suns has not been released and this would be the first inkling of what the calendar will have listed.
Phoenix is 104-88 all-time as a franchise vs. Denver and was 2-1 against the Nuggets last season. When the Nuggets beat the Suns during the 2022-23 season, the Nuggets went on to knock Phoenix out of the Western Conference semifinals before they eventually won the NBA championship that year.
