After going undrafted, Gabe McGlothan from Grand Canyon University (GCU) has signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Denver Nuggets, according to NBA insider Shams Charania of The Athletic.
McGlothan, a former star basketball player at Basha High School in Chandler, Arizona, is the first player from GCU to sign an NBA contract since the university became a Division I program in the 2013-2014 season.
In his senior year at Grand Canyon, McGlothan averaged 12.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game, with a field goal percentage of 47.7%. He led the Lopes to a WAC tournament championship and their fifth tournament win in school history, defeating St. Mary’s, the fifth seed, in the first round.
To cap off his monumental season, the 25-year-old McGlothan won the 35th annual College Slam Dunk Contest, hosted by GCU.

An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year minimum NBA salary contract that can be converted into a two-way contract before the season begins. McGlothan will attend camp with the Nuggets, and since Denver has a G-League team, there is always that option for further development.
