Timme, 6-foot-9 and 235 pounds, joins Phoenix after appearing in four preseason games with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He scored 18 points against Chicago on Friday, making his case for an NBA roster spot.

The addition gives the Suns another frontcourt option with experience and a proven scoring record in the G League. Timme has played 36 NBA games over two seasons with the Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Lakers.

He has also been productive in the G League, averaging 15.9 points on 56% shooting from the field and 6.9 rebounds across 48 games over three seasons.

Along with signing Timme, the Suns have converted center Duop Reath’s contract to a two-way deal. The moves round out Phoenix’s roster for the start of the regular season.

Below is the full team’s 2026-27 opening night roster. The Suns begin their season on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at the Portland Trail Blazers before hosting the Golden State Warriors on Saturday, Oct. 24.
