Having grown up in Scottsdale, Arizona, Auston Matthews learned the game by watching the Arizona Coyotes, then sharpened it with the Arizona Bobcats program. Today, he stands as one of the NHL’s defining stars, the face of the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the first Arizona native to captain the U.S. Olympic team. Matthews has had himself a decent tournament, including a massive win over Slovakia on Friday afternoon and being named the player of the game against Team USA’s group stage game against Germany.
