Kenny Dillingham has three quarterbacks, including a true freshman, competing for the starting job next season. The push for ASU’s next signal-caller starts in bowl prep against Duke. Jeff Sims, Cam Dyer, and Jake Fette are the names competing.
Fette, a native of El Paso, Texas, is a four-star quarterback in the 2026 recruiting class. The product of El Paso Del Valle High School arrived to the Sun Devils in time for bowl practice. Fette, a multi-sport athlete, competed in basketball and track and field in high school while playing quarterback. He recorded 32 touchdown passes to one interception during his junior season.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pounder held offers from Louisiana State University, Auburn, and Ole Miss out of the Southeastern Conference; however, he chose Arizona State from the Big 12. Fette can make a variety of throws and extend plays from the pocket, so it will be interesting to see how he adapts to the college game. We will see how he performs in spring practice.
