GLENDALE – Ahead of the San Francisco 49ers Week 11 matchup vs. the Arizona Cardinals, the franchise got some good news regarding its starting quarterback. Brock Purdy, who has only appeared in two games this season due to a right toe injury, will be returning to the lineup to face against his hometown team in Arizona. Purdy has been out since Week 4 and has struggled to battle through his injury. His counting stats have been stellar with 586 passing yards and 4 touchdowns, but Purdy’s four interceptions is an eye sore in two games played.

The former seventh-round pick grew up an hour away from State Farm Stadium, where he played his high school ball at Perry. The story is well-told of Purdy’s rise and will look to add another chapter against a banged up Cardinals defense.
Arizona will be without linebacker Mack Wilson Sr. and have had multiple defensive starters miss practice on Thursday, including cornerback Will Johnson and edge Josh Sweat. The defense was missing plenty of starters last week vs. the Seattle Seahawks and had its worse performance of the season.
The schedule doesn’t let up with Purdy’s return surely leading to another offensive explosive with San Francisco. The Cardinals will need to rely on defensive reserves to step up, like cornerbacks Denzel Burke or Kei’Trel Clark, to not let any explosive plays to allow the returning 49ers quarterback get into any rhythm,
