GLENDALE – The dominance of Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride is still a spectacle to behold. McBride is building off his first Pro Bowl season last year, with something even more special in 2025. The 25-year-old has 61 catches for 603 receiving yards and six touchdowns. His touchdown mark matches his total from the first three seasons of his career combined.

McBride is averaging eight catches for 82 yards per game with Brissett under center, including five touchdowns in four games. However, the most impressive stat includes his constituency despite the turbulence of this season for Arizona.

Dating back to last season, McBride has had 11 straight games with five straight receptions, including Sunday’s nine catch 127 yards performance. To tie the record, McBride would need to continue the streak vs. the San Francisco 49ers and the Jacksonville Jaguars. In his last four matchups vs, the 49ers, McBride has surpassed the five-catch mark, while he has never played against the Jaguars.
Regardless of Arizona’s 3-6 record, the brilliance of McBride’s athleticism at his size to be as stellar of a route runner has made him arguably the best tight end in the league. Outside of the Cardinals superstar tight end, the offense remains a work of progress with a lack of weapons to support Brissett or usual starter Kyler Murray.
McBride is on the heels of history, and despite the team’s struggles, nothing appears to be strong enough to slow him down on his mission.
