Seattle dominated since the beginning of the game, taking a commanding 38-7 lead by halftime and exposing Arizona’s weaknesses on both sides of the ball. The Cardinals are now 3-6 for the season and have yet to win a game against a division opponent.

Quarterback Jacoby Brissett threw for 258 yards and two touchdowns but was sacked five times. Tight end Trey McBride had 127 yards, setting a new season high, and a touchdown. However, their performances weren’t enough to change the tide of the game after the Seahawks’ dominant first half.

Arizona now ranks 19th in the league in scoring at 22.5 points per game, while its defense ranks 11th, allowing 21.4 points per game.

When asked if the team needed to make any lineup or staff changes after falling to Seattle, Gannon’s response was simple.

“No,” he said post-game. “No.”

Under Gannon’s leadership, Arizona has compiled a 15-28 record over three seasons and has not qualified for the playoffs during his tenure as head coach.

With the Cardinals sitting at the bottom of the NFC West and unable to string together wins against division rivals, Gannon’s system will be looked at more deeply. The team faces the San Francisco 49ers next, a divisional test that could either confirm Arizona’s trajectory or raise more questions about leadership.

The organization is already at a crossroads with quarterback Kyler Murray, who was placed on injured reserve. Reports indicate the Cardinals plan to discuss the former first-round pick’s future with the franchise in the coming weeks.

Now, it seems like there’s a chance it won’t only be Murray’s future in question if the Cardinals can’t right the ship back and get back in the win column.

The Cardinals will face the 49ers on Sunday, Nov. 16, at 2:05 p.m.
