GLENDALE – No one gave the Arizona Cardinals a chance in Sunday’s game vs. the Indianapolis Colts. ESPNBet had Arizona as +8.5 underdogs vs. Indianapolis, as backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett was under center for his first start with the team. However, the Cardinals were able to put up an impressive fight against one of the best offense in the NFL to hold the lead late in the 4th quarter.
Despite not being able to hold onto the win, head coach Jonathan Gannon spoke postgame about being proud of the team’s resilient to battle past the hurdles they faced.

Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon looks on from the sidelines as they play against the Tennessee Titans at State Farm Stadium in Glendale on Oct. 5, 2025.
Gannon on how the Cardinals performed:
“I told them I was proud of them because I thought they battled, but like I said, we’re in a tough spot right now. Four in a row is tough, but we’ll be resilient. I’m confident in those guys to have a good week. We have another good football team coming in here before a bye. But we have to put two good plans together, travel back, get reset and keep our mode of play where it needs to be.
“Our record shows that we’re not a good football team, but I do think the battle is there. We just got to keep sawing away.”

Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon yells out to his team as they play the Seattle Seahawks at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, on Sept. 25, 2025.
Gannon isn’t ignoring the team’s record or their shortcomings to start the season, but he understands the pieces for a winning team are in place. Late-game execution remains a top priority for the offense to figure out, as they fell nine yards short of pulling off the upset.
