The win capped a tense series, with the Aces overcoming a resilient Fever team that pushed the No. 2 seed to the limit by forcing a winner-take-all game on Sept. 28. While Indiana would lose starter Kelsey Mitchell, Fever’s Odyssey Sims was able to send the game into overtime with a driving layup in the final 25 seconds of regulation to tie the game.
Las Vegas would go on to score 21 points in overtime and keep Indiana to 12 points, securing its third Finals appearance in four years.

While the Aces were projected to make it to the Finals by nine ESPN analysts, the Mercury weren’t given the same prediction. Phoenix earned its berth after defeating the Minnesota Lynx in the team’s own semifinal series, marking a return for a chance to claim a fourth WNBA title.
As the Finals begin this weekend, Mercury fans eagerly await what could be a memorable series as the team looks to bring another title back to the Valley.

The Finals will open with the first two games in Las Vegas, followed by Games 3 and 4 in Phoenix. If necessary, Game 5 will return to Las Vegas, Game 6 will be in Phoenix, and Game 7 will be back in Las Vegas.
