After falling behind 12-1 to the Minnesota Lynx in the first quarter and down by 13 points at one point, the Mercury pulled off another astounding comeback win to eliminate the No. 1 seed out of the playoffs. With crucial 3-pointers from Sami Whitcomb and DeWanna Bonner late in the game, the Mercury worked together to continue fighting for a championship.
Fans online quickly showed their excitement for the team’s series win, hoping this year will be the year the Mercury win their fourth WNBA Championship.
