Arizona’s offensive struggles to start the 2025 season isn’t on Murray, who has the 8th-highest PFF overall QB grade at 80.8. The counting stats aren’t eye-popping, but the he is just filling into offensive coordinator Drew Petzing system.
While fans might disagree, Murray has historically relied on his arm more than his legs against Seattle under Petzing. In his last three games, the two-time Pro Bowler averaged 268.7 passing yards and completing 67.6% of his passes. In that same span, the 28-year-old recorded 19.3 rushing yards.

A more pass-heavy offense could be what the Seahawks want to see from Murray, as he has struggled to secure solid pass protection from his line. Murray gets sack an average 3.2 times when he faces Seattle, with five games of 4+ sacks in a game.
In his first season since tearing his ACL, it was clear Murray was hesitant initially to take off and scramble outside the pocket, which could explain the 19.3 rushing yards in the last three games. Arizona will need Murray to turn back the clock and showcase his elusiveness, that has been shown in flashes in 2025.

The struggles with the offensive line to start the season puts the pressure on the former number one overall pick shoulders to be able to avoid the pressure from Seattle’s front. Murray will need to rely on his legs to get him out of trouble, while aim to get his wide receivers involved in a game that they’ll be needed.
