TEMPE — Arizona State remained outside the AP Top 25 despite its 34-15 win over Texas State on Saturday night.
Instead, the Sun Devils found themselves with fewer votes than the previous week.

ASU had a bounce-back performance after its loss to Mississippi State on Sept. 6. Arizona State didn’t allow Texas State to find the endzone in the first half and spoiled two 2-point conversions in the second. Quarterback Sam Leavitt threw two touchdown passes, including a viral connection with wide receiver Jordyn Tyson.
However, the win wasn’t enough to rank ASU for a second straight week.

Arizona State received 57 votes this week, after receiving 94 votes last week. Many Arizona State fans have welcomed the drop, unconcerned with the poll as long as the team continues to produce wins.
