TEMPE — If Arizona State was looking for a bounce-back performance after last week’s loss to Mississippi State, ASU quarterback Sam Leavitt and wide receiver Jordyn Tyson helped deliver it.

ASU faced Texas State on Saturday in front of a sellout crowd at Mountain America Stadium, hoping to get back in the win column. In the second quarter, tied 3-3, Leavitt connected with Tyson for a 30-yard touchdown to take a 9-3 lead.
The pass went viral for the way the play unfolded, showcasing the athleticism of both ASU players.

ASU scored 20 points in the first half and 14 points in the second to take a 34-15 win against TXST. The Sun Devils are now 2-1 this season, as the win helped ease the sting of last week’s heartbreaking loss.
Leavitt completed 15 of 25 passes for 188 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran 12 times for 59 yards and a touchdown. Tyson had six receptions for 105 yards and a touchdown in the win.

ASU will now head to Texas as they face Baylor on Saturday, Sept. 20, at 4:30 p.m.
