The Mercury couldn’t capitalize on a hot start against the Indiana Fever, falling 107-101 on July 30. Turnovers played a crucial part in Phoenix’s loss, with 19 total. The game marked the most points the Mercury have given up so far this season.
Alyssa Thomas had another great game, scoring 32 points with 15 rebounds and seven assists.

The Dream defeated the Dallas Wings in a close matchup, 88-85, on July 30. It was a back-and-forth game, as both teams were even deep into the fourth quarter. Atlanta’s Naz Hillmon made the tie-breaking shot from beyond the arc with 2.6 seconds left in the game.
Hillmon not only made the game-winning shot but also led the Dream with 21 points.
