Mercury teammates Sabally and Thomas to face off as rivals in WNBA All-Star Game

PHOENIX — Phoenix Mercury teammates Satou Sabally and Alyssa Thomas will face off as rivals in the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game.

Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark and Minnesota Lynx’s Napheesa Collier were selected as All-Star captains after obtaining the most votes during the All-Star fan voting.

The captains drafted their team from a pool of fan-voted starters and reserves, selected by league coaches.

The captains selected their teams live on ESPN, with Clark drafting Sabally as a starter and Collier drafting Thomas as a reserve. They also traded coaches, with Lynx’s Cheryl Reeve coaching Team Collier and New York Liberty’s Sandy Brondello coaching Team Clark.

Sabally and Thomas will represent the Phoenix Mercury in the All-Star game for their respective teams on Saturday, July 19, in Indianapolis.
