Brandon Pfaadt couldn’t get anything going as the Giants hit off him early and often. That wasn’t the case for the D-Backs at the plate, as they didn’t get a hit off Robbie Ray until the fifth inning when Eugenio Suárez hit a solo home run that just curved past the pole to get Arizona on the board.

Robbie Ray ended up pitching a complete game and was locked in from start to finish against this D-Backs lineup. The offensive inconsistency seems to be a lingering theme this season, and unless they find a remedy, the Arizona Diamondbacks might find themselves on the outside looking in come playoff time.

The Diamondbacks were able to take the first two games of the season, but couldn’t salvage a series win against the Giants as they ended up splitting the series two games apiece. The Snakes will now gear up for a Fourth of July weekend series against the Kansas City Royals starting tomorrow night at Chase Field.
