Monday’s mound matchups:
Ryne Nelson will be on the mound for Arizona. Nelson comes into this game on Sunday after two dominant starts. Nelson’s pet is five innings, the last two outings against the Chicago White Sox and the Toronto Blue Jays. Nelson also only allowed one hit and one earned run in his last two outings and will look to replicate those starts and keep Arizona in the game.

Logan Webb comes into Monday night’s matchup with a 7-3 record and a 2.52 ERA. Webb has been one of the most stable and sturdiest pitchers for San Francisco. Arizona will have their hands full as they are in massive need of a win.It could very well be a pitcher’s duel on Monday night at Chase Field. Arizona will need to rely on getting there off to come back alive. With the multitude of injuries that Arizona is facing, it’s going to be hard the rest of the way.

This past weekend against Miami did show that there might be too many issues for this ball club to overcome, though only time will tell. If Arizona can get back on track starting tonight against the Giants, this story might just have another crazy chapter in store.
