Corbin Carroll was hit by a pitch on his right hand back in Toronto against the Blue Jays last Wednesday and was in visible pain. Initially the X-rays had come back negative, but an MRI revealed his wrist included other damage. On the 2025 season, Carroll has a .255 average with 20 home runs along with 10 stolen bases.

The Arizona Diamondbacks won on Monday night, though dealt with a barrage of injuries. Not only did the news about Corbin Carroll come out, both Eugenio Suárez and Josh Naylor were injured after Suárez was hit by a pitch on his right hand, and Josh Naylor hurt his shoulder after a hard swing saw him whip his shoulder, leading to discomfort. Arizona has also recently lost pitchers Corbin Burnes, Justin Martinez, and A.J. Puk to season-ending injuries as well.

Corbin Carroll is one of the faces of the franchise and has been skyrocketing to superstardom after the 2023 season that saw him win the NL Rookie of the Year award and a World Series birth. Any loss to him for a long period of time would be detrimental for Arizona as they are in the toughest division in baseball, and are on the outside looking in at the moment.
