Phoenix Mercury waives Prince and activates Musa

PHOENIX — The Phoenix Mercury waived forward Alexis Prince and activated the contract of forward Murjanatu Musa, the team announced Monday.

Prince was with the team under a training camp contract in the preseason and was announced to the 2025 roster on May 15. She played in Phoenix’s first game of the season on May 17, leading the team in rebounds. Prince’s first stint with the Mercury came in 2017, appearing in 18 games.

Musa played for the Tarbes Gespe Bigorre of the Ligue féminine in France and the Nigerian national team. She averaged 14.9 points and 9.4 rebounds with Tarbes, and 15.6 points and 13.8 rebounds in the Eurocup.
