GLENDALE – An unexpected reunion is happening in the Valley. The Arizona Cardinals and former 2008 second round pick defensive lineman Calais Campbell have agreed to a one-year deal for $5.5 million, according to ESPN Senior NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Campbell’s career with Cardinals:

Campbell was drafted to Arizona in 2008 and had an eight-year career with the Red Sea. In 138 games with the franchise, the 38-year-old had 56.5 sacks, 107 tackles for loss, and eight four fumbles. He was a fan favorite among fans around the Valley, which made his departure in 2016 hard for fans to swallow.

While gone from Arizona, he played for four different teams. Campbell was a three-time Pro Bowler with the Jacksonville Jaguars, and then went to Baltimore where he earned another Pro Bowl selection. The past two seasons he’s bounce from Atlanta Falcons and the Miami Dolphins.
Now, for his 18th season, Campbell wanted to return to where it all started, with a buzzing Cardinals team that enters the 2025 season ready to contend.
