Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there… unless you’re in Los Angeles.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! The cataclysmic California wildfires that have killed 10, forced thousands to evacuate and ruined millions of dollars in property forced the NFL to move the Los Angeles Rams NFC wildcard game against the Minnesota Vikings this weekend to the Cardinals’ State Farm Stadium, the league announced on Thursday. While the Cardinals have welcomed the Rams with open arms, sending two of its private planes to pickup the team and opening its facilities for its NFC West rivals to prepare, the game’s relocation site has been met with bleak irony.

There’s nothing funny about the damage being done to L.A.; however, considering who sponsors the Cardinals’ stadium in comparison to why the Rams are escaping California is painfully laughable.
State Farm Insurance is under fire (no pun intended) for dropping approximately 1,600 policies in Los Angeles’ Pacific Palisades neighborhood — one of the areas being drastically effected by the wildfires — and another 2,000 in neighboring communities before that, according to CBS News.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter first reported the news that the Cardinals would be extending their resources to aid the Rams on Friday. Though the action in itself was commendable on both Arizona and the NFL’s behalf, many fans and critics couldn’t help but chime in on the elephant in the room.

X user @andyspence101 replied to Schefter: “‘State Farm Stadium’ … the same insurance company that cancelled HOW MANY policies in LA??”
Even former NFL wide receiver and social media troll Antonio Brown got a jab in, posting a parody conversation as Jake from State Farm with a picture of the insurance company’s mascot: “Jake from State Farm… Yes… We cancelled your insurance… but we’re going to let the Rams and Vikings play in State Farm Stadium this weekend.”

Not all the reactions from fans were bad. Some were positive, recognizing the Cardinals extended helping hand; some were negative, griping about the Rams losing their home field advantage. And some were just funny, inquiring how Arizona could even afford its own planes.
Somewhere in between the lines of football talk, however, there is true outrage against State Farm during these tumultuous times.

State Farm , who cancelled everyone's fire insurance????

You cannot make this up. Thousands of Homeowners in LA got their Home Insurance canceled by StateFarm just months before the LA wildfires burnt down their homes. Now they will have to watch their hometown team play a home playoff game at STATE FARM STADIUM. Unreal.

What an absolute crappy idea to not have the Game in Las Vegas…
Also, it's awful to have the L.A. Team play in Arizona at State Farm Stadium, where State Farm Insurance literally canceled thousands of Los Angeles Home Owners' Fire Insurance recently!#RamsHouse https://t.co/keHZqgms6M
