The Arizona Cardinals season is over, but State Farm Stadium will still be in use for one more NFL game due to the catastrophic wildfire-outbreak in Los Angeles.
The NFL announced on Thursday that the Ram’s Sunday-slated, home NFC playoff wildcard matchup against the Minnesota Vikings would be moved to State Farm Stadium and postponed until Monday. On Friday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the Cardinals would be sending two of the team’s planes to L.A. to pick up the Rams and other members traveling with the organization for the game.
The Cardinals are sending two of the team’s 777 planes to Los Angeles this afternoon, picking up the Rams team, its staff, their families, six dogs and two cats — yes, six dogs and two cats, per an official — and bringing them to Arizona tonight.

The sequence of fires began to be reported on Tuesday, forcing approximately 153,000 people in L.A. County under evacuation orders and an additional 160,000-plus residents under evacuation warning, according to BBC News. More than 10,000 buildings have been reported to be hit by the fires, which is the most destructive report in the city’s history.
In addition to letting the Rams use their 777 aircrafts, the Cardinals are loaning their NFC West foe their facilities to use in preparation for Monday’s battle with the Vikings.
