The Lopes have a four-game winning streak going, where so far San Antonio has dished out 47 assists this season, which is the second-best in the WAC, and 27th in the nation while averaging 5.9 assists per game. San Antonio picked up those sweet assist stats from a team effort, fellow Californian Alyssa Durazo-Frescas who drilled 13, while graduate Laura Erikstrup knocked down 14 against Arizona Thursday. Currently, GCU leads the WAC with 44.8% shooting from the field and that is without surprise due to the Lopes Durazo-Frescas the team’s sharpshooter hitting 22 with the teams 70-59-win crushing Arizona State on Nov. 14.
The high-percentage shooting team will end a five-day break and return to Global Credit Union Arena to host Westcliff on Saturday, Dec. 14, at 6 p.m. The Lopes’ next six games are all at home, including Westcliff, Wright State, Florida Atlantic, Georgia Southern, Park (Arizona), and Northern Arizona.
The Lady Lopes start a seven-game homestand that begins Sunday as the Lopes host Utah State. Tip-off at 1 p.m. on ESPN+.
