George, a nine-time All-Star, signed a reported four-year, $212 million deal with the 76ers this summer, but Philadelphia has been without him and 2023 MVP Joel Embiid (left knee injury management) for the first five games of its season. The 76ers have posted a 1-4 record without them and last fell to Memphis Grizzlies 124-107 on Saturday.
George is officially listed as questionable, while Embiid remains out.
Suns fans are very familiar with George, having played his Clippers a couple times in the playoffs over the last few years and because of the rivalry between him and Devin Booker.
George averaged 22.6 points on 47.1% shooting, 5.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 74 games last season with the Clippers.
Bradley Beal questionable again for Suns
The Suns are riding a four-game win streak into tomorrow night’s matchup after improving to 5-1 on the season with a 103-97 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday.
Bradley Beal is listed as questionable for Phoenix tomorrow for the fifth-straight game with a right elbow sprain. Beal played through the injury in two of the last four games, including the victory over the Blazers. He recorded 15 points, seven rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block in the win.
Devin Booker praised Beal after the game, but added that he likely tweaked his injury.
“Brad is the heart of this team, so to have him out there and to have his energy out there, it’s always needed,” Booker said. “He’s still vocal when he is on the bench but it is a different dynamic when he is out on the court with us. I saw him grab it (his elbow) after his last free throw, so it may be still bothering him. Just got to get him right, get him back and get going.”
Tomorrow’s game tips off shortly after 8:15 p.m. MST.
