Entering Monday night, no team in the NFL had allowed fewer points per game than the Los Angeles Chargers, and that trend remained unchanged in Week 7. However, what nobody anticipated was the Arizona Cardinals’ defense delivering their best performance in over two years.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Heading into the game, the Cardinals’ defense had been giving up an average of 27 points per game. But on Monday, they completely stifled Justin Herbert and the Chargers’ offense, preventing them from reaching the end zone. Instead, the Cardinals forced Los Angeles to settle for five field goals by kicker Cameron Dicker.
On the offensive side, veteran running back James Conner showed that age is no obstacle to his game. Conner led the Cardinals’ attack with 152 total yards, including crucial yards after the catch on the game-winning drive that sealed the victory.
With this win, the Cardinals improved to 3-4, just one game behind the Seattle Seahawks for first place in the NFC West.
In a year where Arizona sports fans have had little to celebrate, the Cardinals have now secured two home victories over Los Angeles teams- which is always a good feeling.
Great win for the #Cardinals! Going to be a tough night for all the Chargers fan in Los Angeles

I haven't seen a RB play better than James Conner this year. He almost single-handedly won the game for the #Cardinals. A small army of defenders couldn't bring him down. #NFL

The cardinals are so up and down this year. One game we look great the next we get blown out but I’m so happy with this win. We have to get Marvin Harrison jr the ball tho #MNFxESPN #arizona #Cardinals #nfl

Jonathan Gannon is one of the best coaches in the league IMO. He constantly finds ways to inspire his team to play hard nosed ball despite a lack of talent

Did matter how you got it done, you had to win this game.
Jonathan Gannon's defensive fingerprints, and the ascension of Nick Rallis, give reason for both team direction and hope.

James Conner is getting closer to "best RB in Cardinals history" than we realize

Gutsy win in a must win game. Defense bent but didn't break and the offense did just enough.
MVPs of the game are the Cbs, Mack Wilson and James Conner
