Kaminsky, a former first-round pick of the Charlotte Hornets in the 2015 NBA Draft, has had a rollercoaster NBA career. He spent his first four seasons with the Hornets before signing with the Suns in 2019. His tenure in Phoenix was hampered by injuries, including a significant knee injury that caused him to miss nearly the entire 2021-2022 season. After leaving the Suns, Kaminsky split time between the Atlanta Hawks and Houston Rockets during the 2022-2023 season, appearing in 26 games for Atlanta before being traded to Houston.

The 7-footer’s best statistical season came in his second year with Charlotte, where he averaged 11.7 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.

During the Suns’ preseason, Kaminsky averaged just under five points per game in limited action. His release creates an open spot on Phoenix’s 15-man roster, which the team must finalize by October 22nd.

Stay tuned for further updates.
