After the Phoenix Suns’ overtime loss to the Los Angeles Lakers in their preseason finale, a viral post on X (formerly Twitter) sparked controversy on social media.

The post, which has since garnered over 12 million views, alleged that Devin Booker was caught on camera talking trash about Bronny James. The clip showed James missing a free throw, followed by a shot of Booker seemingly saying something to a teammate. The post claimed that Booker said, “he’s just no good,” referring to LeBron James’ son, Bronny.

However, Booker quickly shut down the rumor, responding directly to the post on X with, “50k of yall need help.”

This isn’t the first time social media has falsely accused an NBA star of speaking poorly about Bronny James. During Summer League, a clip of Celtics forward Jaylen Brown circulated, with fans claiming that Brown had questioned whether Bronny was fit for the NBA—another rumor that turned out to be unfounded.
