Yu-Min Lin, the Arizona Diamondbacks’ No. 7 prospect according to MLB Pipeline, delivered an impressive performance in his Arizona Fall League debut, pitching three scoreless innings. Lin’s dominance comes as no surprise, considering his success in Double-A during the 2023 season, where he averaged 10.3 strikeouts per nine innings. His rapid rise through the Diamondbacks’ farm system continued when he was called up to the Triple-A Reno Aces to help in their Pacific Coast League Championship run, marking a significant step toward his ultimate goal.

At the start of the season, Lin boldly set his sights on reaching the big leagues, stating, “I want to go to the big leagues this year, for sure. I mean, I got Double-A, and now there’s just one more level to go. I’m getting close.”

Lin operates from a 3/4 arm slot, utilizing a fastball that sits around 90 mph, supported by a sharp mix of secondary pitches, including a curveball, slider, and changeup.

He was signed by the Diamondbacks in 2021 for a modest $525k.

Other members of the D-backs organization that are playing in the Arizona Fall League include Tommy Troy, Gino Groover, Dylan Ray, Kyle Amendt, Philip Abner, Kristian Robinson, and Alfred Morillo.
