Three Phoenix Mercury stars took a trip to Paris to add some extra gold to their shelves, and now, it’s business as usual. The Mercury will visit Chicago on Thursday to take on the Sky, but a few key contributors will be missed on both sides.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Bec Allen (right hamstring) and Charisma Osborne (left lower leg) will be out for the Phoenix Mercury on Thursday, while Elizabeth Williams (knee) will be out for the Chicago Sky.
Allen suffered a high-grade hamstring injury in Australia’s final warmup game ahead of Olympic play and has been listed as out indefinitely. The Mercury wing will be re-evaluated in the coming weeks.
Osborne has been out since the beginning of July, and has no timetable for a return. However, she has been seen in-and-out of a boot — showing slow signs of progression.
Williams has not seen the floor since June 6th, where she tore her meniscus in Chicago’s win over Washington. She underwent surgery later that month, and is listed as out for the season.
Mercury versus Sky will tip-off at 5:00 p.m. PST.
