Metu signed a one-year deal with the Suns ahead of last season, averaging five points per game on 50.8% shooting. He briefly made his way into Phoenix’s starting lineup in December and January, but his playing time diminished significantly as the trade deadline approached.
At the deadline, the 27-year-old was traded to the Grizzlies in a deal that sent Royce O’Neale to Phoenix. Metu was later released by Memphis and picked up by the Pistons.
In the final stretch of the 2024 season with Detroit, Metu averaged 10 points per game, including five games where he scored 15 or more.
Now, he will take his talents to the EuroLeague as he looks to build on his successful end to last season
