Las Vegas Aces star point guard Chelsea Gray could be making her 2024 season debut against the Phoenix Mercury on Thursday, as Gray is listed as questionable on the status report.

Gray’s status was listed as questionable on Wednesday for the first time since October 2023. She was recently named to Team USA for the second straight Olympics.
“Whether I’m playing or not right now — being one of 12 to put on an Olympic jersey? I’ll never take that for granted,” Gray said on Tuesday. “I didn’t think it was going to end up like this when I first started in this profession. It’s crazy.”
The Aces have progressively worked Gray back into team warmups and drills, but has yet to participate in any practices open to the media.

Gray would change the way that Las Vegas operates, and the way that Phoenix would have to matchup against them.
“I think people are guarding us differently because she’s not out there,” Aces guard Kelsey Plum said. “But I also think a lot of the wounds that we have are self-inflicted.”
The Mercury will host the Aces on Thursday at 7 p.m. Pacific Time.
