On April 15, Grant-Foster officially declared for the 2024 NBA Draft after his lone season at GCU last year. The Kansas native started in all 34 games he played, averaging 20.1 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists. Recognized for his production on the court, he received first-team All-WAC honors and was the first-ever player in Grand Canyon’s history to win the WAC Player of the Year Award.
Earning its first NCAA Tournament win in program history, Grant-Foster and the Lopes pulled off a dramatic upset, beating No. 5 seeded St. Mary’s 75–66. The 24-year-old was the game’s leading scorer with 22 points and also had seven rebounds.
Entering the combine before the draft, he is projected to be a late first-rounder to a second-round pick.
Of the other prospects who are taking part in the combine, University of Arizona’s Keshad Johnson and Pelle Larson are also taking in what it has to offer. No players from Arizona State or Northern Arizona were listed on the scrimmage lists.
The 2024 NBA Draft begins on June 26 for the first round and goes through June 27.
As for GCU, they will begin to play in the West Coast Conference (WCC) in the 2025 season as they accepted an invite last Friday.
